Here’s another Anime release you guys might be interested in. Beet: The Vandel Buster. I’ve never been a fan of Dragonball, Naruto, Avatar, or the like, but I’ve had many friends who were, or still are. Furthermore, being that this is IlumiToon’s first Anime release, I figure we might as well give it some exposure. The series was created by the animators of Dragon Ball Z, and the recently cancelled One Piece (Read here).

So did you finally watch Avatar and not like it?
Just a few minutes in passing. I really don’t think it’s my thing. I’ve never really had an affinity for Shaolin Monk action. I am currently digging Afro…though it’s on so late, I think I fell asleep just a bit before this last episode ended.
dragonball z and sailor moon unite! i’m diggin it.
Avatar is’t an anime. >_> It’s American made.
but don’t they call it AmericAnime?
I wish we could hear the voices better. I enjoyed the manga so I’m hoping the anime is decent.
Does anyone know why the companies who bring anime over to the US insist on using hard rock/heavy metal type music? I find it irritating.
You mean like the ADV and Manga entertainment (KMFDM) promos?
Hey Ezri, yah…I included Avatar on the list because of Miri’s reasoning, but part of the reason I don’t care for it is your argument. I just didn’t want to be too snobby. :)
I can definitely understand if Avatar isn’t someone’s thing (not edgy enough etc) but I will always stick up for its quality.
Is it anime? That doesn’t really matter. It obviously owes its existence to anime but definitely has its own flavor.
