Beard Papa’s 1-year anniversary in SF

My goosh, has it been a year already?? My my how the time flies. A year ago the Bay Area was Beard Papa-less. Today we have three locations, two in San Francisco and one in Redwood City! And if you doubted their popularity or Bay Area-ites ability to overindulge, let me tell you that the Westfield Mall boutique has quickly become America’s number one highest volume cream puff retail store and number two in the whole world.

If you also fell in love with Beard Papa cream puffs not just for the taste and the process (they pump the filling in after you order it), but for the cute logo mariner mascot, head down to the 99 Yerba Buena Lane location (x-street Mission, in the Metreon, SF Moma area) to meet the actual mascot dude flown in from Japan! On May 11-13, Beard Papa himself will be handing out prizes to the first 50 customers. And they’re pretty good prizes like umbrellas, thermoses and t-shirts. They’re also pretty generous, allowing multiple prizes per customer like four cellphone straps or two umbrellas per person. And they’re golf umbrellas (poor Beard Papa thought it actually rains here in the Bay Area, much less rains hard enough to warrant jumbo umbrella usage). And such perfect timing around Mother’s Day; don’t forget to bring some pastries to Mom why don’t ya?

Happy Anniversary Beard Papa! I’m gonna get my picture taken with you, you big cutie!
