I actually got this about five minutes ago from Giant Robot’s Filmmatters division. What sparked my interest is Rocky Jo’s short film, Bunny and Clydo is playing. Kris and I actually made a road trip from the San Francisco Bay Area all the way out to Austin, TX to help with the filming last summer. It was a five day shoot in a sweltering hot airplane hangar in the old Austin Airport (which now serves as soundstages for motion pictures). Though Kris and I though we would be getting a lot of hands on experience, the set was so overpopulated with volunteers we ended up being assigned Production Assistant duties, so we pretty much stood around sweating and repeating calls for “Quiet on the Set” and “Rolling Rolling”.
The story of Bunny and Clydo is sort of an John Woo and anime influenced take on Bonnie and Clyde crossed with the first scene in From Dusk Till Dawn (the male lead, Clydo even has a Clooney style neck tattoo). The bulk of the film takes place in a comvenience store where our outlaw couple get in a gunfight with johnny law.

Anyways it’s good to see Rocky’s film is finally out there. If you’re in the area, go check it out. And also check out the film’s official site here.
Now if only Noah Dille’s Brain Fart would see the light of day. I actually have some screen time in that one as a computer nerd.
