Drawing Restraint 9 Trailer
The trailer for Mathew Barney’s latest effort is up. Kris and I were lucky enough to catch Barney’s entire Cremaster Cycle when it screened in San Francisco a few years back. Though it didn’t make sense in all the places, it was very interesting, and showed Barney has undeniable talent. Drawing Restraint 9 seems to continue with some of the visual themes of the Cycle, including the Cremaster symbol (see screenshot) and the whole sculpting and shaping of vaseline. As with Cremaster this one looks to be heavy on the visuals, and, yah, it’s got Bjork!
