Duke it out. Or in rather.

Alleged rapists Reid Seligmann and Colin Finnerty (oops, the court said it wasn’t technically rape because the victim couldn’t tell if it was there was a penis involved) from Duke University have been invited back in. The two Lacrosse players faced expulsion after roughhousing and sexually assaulting a stripper, locking her up in a bathroom stall. The two were readmitted to the $46,000/year private college after their charges were reduced. Poppycock I say, poppycock.

Kyle Dowd, a Duke Lacrosse teammate who wasn’t involved in the “not-a-rape” case, is suing the university for $60,000 over a grade. Dowd believes that the professor failed him simply because he was a Lacrosse player, and is suing for the horror he endured when he found out he couldn’t graduate due to the failed grade. The university bowed its tail between its legs again as it agreed to change Dowd’s grade to a “D”. That’s just not good enough for the boy, who now wants the grade changed to a “P” for passing and the money. It sure sounds like Duke is the one getting reamed.

  1. The first paragraph here is blatantly false on almost all accounts. Neither was “expelled” — they were suspended as is the case for anyone who is facing felony charges. The prosecutor has been removed from the case after hiding evidence that not only were there no DNA matches to any of the players, but rather to 5 other unrelated men — a blatant violation of North Carolina’s Discovery laws. The accuser has changed her story a dozen times, and the other stripper there that night has called her accusations “a crock.” The prosecution’s only evidence at this point is the testimony of a stripper who has made the same discredited gang rape claims in the past, has a criminal record including attempted manslaughter on a police officer, and has been quoted by her strip club boss (after she went back to work the next day) as saying, “I’m gonna get those white boys’ money.” News outlets from coast to coast, including the Wall Street Journal and 60 Minutes have exposed the case as a hoax. Get informed before spreading lies next time. LieStoppers is a good start.
