Appropriately published post on “hump day” Wednesday… and no, I wasn’t searching for YouTube smut; Chris forwarded this to me from his friend a while back. And no, he wasn’t on the prowl either.
The Sundance Channel released a Green Porno informative video series created by Italian beauty and outspoken oddball Isabella Rossellini, describing horrific mating rituals in the insect and arachnid realm. The delightful mixture of humor and theatrical tricks transform this otherwise uncomfortable subject matter into delightfully debauchery.
I was totally into insects and spiders in grade school, having a childhood filled with loads of monster centipedes and 8″ span fleshy cane spiders (crawling on my face while sleeping even), and having several “pet” praying mantises I helped nursed back to health (probably picked on by birds) thanks to my Nature-loving parents, so this is all old-hat to me, but hopefully you’ll learn something new. Don’t kill them, try to understand them (well, maybe except the B-52 cockroches)… enjoy!
