dreamlogic.net -- Happy belated 04:05:06 07/08/09!

Yes, I’m such a geek that I kinda like these rare time alignment callouts. And, of course, I’m so busy that I post the news about it a day late. :P

Anyway, let’s pretend it’s 07/07 and you haven’t already heard about it, shall we?

In America, at five minutes and six seconds past four o’clock am on the 8th of July this year, the time and date will be 04:05:06 07/08/09. This is a rare occurrence that will never be repeated in our lifetime. Well, that is until 04:05:06 pm.

Although, if you want to technically “cheat time”, there are some tricks besides time travel and a hyperactive imagination. If you hop over to England next month, where their Little Endian timestamp format lists the day before the month, you could have an 07/08/09 “party” on August 7th. Jump to Sweden in the Fall, where the year (YY) precedes the month followed by the day, thus 06:07:08 09/10/11 on October 11th for another issue of rare alignment mayhem (oxymoronic, I know).

Also of note: 12:34:56 07/08/09. Woohoo!

Unfortunately, if you are utilizing the ISO 8601 standard date notation (YYYY-MM-DD) in Asia or Europe or Canada, you’re SoL, but good for you for using ISO 8601.
