Even though I have a sort of love-hate relationship with the flamboyant "flying" films, the choreography and costumes matched quite well. This one had a ton of unexpected gore, which sort of added to the set design in a way. Everything's so drape-y billowy and dark red and then "spoooosh!", more red. I always imagine the director commanding the guy that has to control the squeeze-bottles of fake blood on the sidelines, LOL.

Maybe it's just because I like Daniel Wu, but The Banquet was enjoyable, despite his oddball booming baritone.
