So my father gave me Shel Silverstein’s Freakin’ at the Freaker’s Ball this past year, and man, it’s totally not the Shel Silverstein I knew as a kid. There are some amazingly funny and some amazingly dirty songs to be heard. But I wasn’t quite prepared for Stacy Brown.
You see, I’ve been listening to the song all this time, digging the catchy toot’ling and infectious chorus of “everybody got one/Stacy Brown got two!” thinking it’s about a Stacy Brown who was courting two girls at the same time. Then I listened closely. It’s not two girls.
