LOS ANGELES, CA - On Friday, March 17, 2006, the Los Angeles Korean Cultural Center — with the support of Los Angeles Korean International Film Festival (LAKIFF) — will present Mora Mi-Ok Stephens’ feature directorial debut, CONVENTIONEERS, which had its Los Angeles premiere at the LAKIFF 2005. On March 4, 2006 Ms. Stephens won one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry — the Independent Spirit Awards’ John Cassavetes Award for best feature made for under $500,000. This year’s Independent Spirit Awardees include Oscar Winners Ang Lee, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Crash, Capote and Brokeback Mountain. You are cordially invited to the screening to celebrate with us.
