Smarter than your kids: Japanese chimp Pan kun and his dog James!

Whenever we go to Ryowa Ramen in downtown Mountain View (review coming!), Pan kun is always on the telly. Pan is a trained chimpanzee who is seriously adept with cognitive skills out the wazoo.
It seems like his handler(s) walk him through a new experience once (if that), then the crew films him taking a chance on his own. Sometimes he gets things wrong at first (hey, his anatomy ain’t his fault), but it always ends up sweet at the end (thanks to the miracle of editing, too). Sometimes he’s accompanied by his bulldog James, for an extra dose of hilarity.
You’ll just be amazed!
