Strong enough for a cop but made for a woman

Motorola Razrs aren’t the only items to get prettified for purses. Tasers will now come in a variety of colors such as blue, silver, black, and metallic light pink. The new C2 Taser has a sleek new design, resembling a shiny Norelco or something. It has a 15 foot range and 50 zaps. There’s a safety cover so you won’t zap yourself and an ergonomic handle that “fits all hand sizes”. It will be sold for a lower price than its black boxy predecessor, which was about $1000.

I’m not quite sure where I stand on the usage of Tasers. Commercially, I think it’s a great idea for the fairer sex to defend themselves without resorting to a firearm, although Taser shocks have proved fatal in some cases. There are also scary scenarios where the Taser was used on the victim by an attacker who pried it or knocked it out of their hands. I’m wary of Taser usage by some policemen, since it sometimes turns to abuse, but it’s not like we’re going to see rubber bullets as their replacement real soon.
