TECH TALK . Hey I hacked your password

Hey, if your password is “password”, well then maybe you deserve to be hacked. That may be the mantra of deviants who have nothing better to do all day but try to topple other people’s accounts. Apparently, you don’t even have to set up a phishing site, just plug in any one of these top ten most commonly used passwords and you just might get lucky. Although it may seem like a ridiculous idea to use any of the following passwords, it happens way more often than you think!

1. password
2. 123456
3. qwerty
4. abc123
5. letmein
6. monkey
7. myspace 1
8. password 1
9. blink182
10. (your first name)
