The Computer History Museum to Close for 9 Months
Posted on January 24, 2010 by Chris Nelson

Just a heads up that Silicon Valley’s Computer History Museum is scheduled to close its doors at the end of the month for remodeling. No word on an official re-opening date, but a binary friendly 10.10.10 has been suggested. Until that time you can still attend the usual docent-led tours, view demonstrations of Charles Babbages’ Difference Engine No. 2, and receive a hefty 25% discount on items in the gift shop. Nice. No word on whether or not the remodeling will see the unboxing of items still in storage since the museum’s move from Boston (word is the museum has a hangar-full at Moffett Field), but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
The museum is open Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Go check it out!
Also, if any of our readers have a hankering for programming and computer-related articles, you might be interested in my Del.icio.us feed. It’s a bit Javascript-nuance heavy of late, but I dump anything Linux/programming/tech related in that feed throughout the week. Enjoy.
