Trailer for Ryuhei Kitamura/Clive Barker project, Midnight Meat Train

Kris and I are big fans of Clive Barker. In fact, we actually met over a mutual love of Hellraiser (part 2, to be exact). Kitamura, on the other hand, we have a mutual ambivalence towards. The guy makes pretty pictures, but for the most part, he puts us to sleep. Still, there’s no denying the fact the guy has talent. And, with the two teaming up, I think we’ll finally see an original horror worth talking about.

The basic story of Midnight Meat Train concerns a murderer who butchers people like cattle on a nighttime subway train. Check out the trailer below:

Funny, I think I just watched some of this in Fast Food Nation last night.

Kidding aside, this looks pretty good. You can count us in for the ride once the film releases next year. Thanks to Obsessed With Film for the heads up.
