What if David Lynch directed Star Wars?

Little know fact: Fantasy-action mogul George Lucas first approached surrealist extraordinaire David Lynch to direct the third installment of his now infamous Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi.

Self-proclaimed “Artist. Filmmaker. All around Troublemaker” (ha!) Sascha Ciezata commemorated Lynch’s recant of his meeting with Lucas, including, of course, all the gory details that make him just awesome. The animation is nothing short of awesome, too, shot entirely with the iMotion app on Ciezata’s iPhone 3G… just don’t make Lynch watch it on an iPhone (that interview below as well).

I love interviews with David Lynch… and this one ends totally textbook Lynch.
