Wonka Nerds Rope munchies review

dreamlogic.net's MUNCHIES . Willy Wonka Nerds RopeWe’re looking forward to the movie Corpse Bride from the Depp/Burton power team, but we’re going to have to pass on the Willy Wonka remake… well, until we can possibly procure a freebie DVD or something during rental season. Until then, Wonka Nerds Ropes will have to suffice.. well not just suffice, they are tangy and sweet, crunchy and chewy.

A Nerd Rope is a footlong gummy twine with multi-colored nerdies magically clinging to it. And by magically, I mean the suckers won’t fall off, making this an excellent take-along for that zero gravity picnic or earthbound roadtrip you’ve been planning. And by nerdies, in case you’re unfamiliar with one of the best microscopic sugarbombs this side of PopRocks, I’m talking about the tiny fruity sweet/sour droplets encased in irregular candy shells. They are little lovely cavities waiting to happen, but oh so nummy.

Good News?
In the Nestlé (who bring us Cat Chow and Beggin’ Strips) takeover, Wonka treats have expanded to include all the candy from childhood (yours and mine, maybe the Olsen Twins Gen is too young to remember): Fun Dip, Pixy Stix, Sweetarts, Runts, Bottle Caps, Gobstoppers.

  1. Yums nerd ropes!!!!! I love nerds, they give me that sweet and tangy taste I crave. However, the nerds ropes feel like such a jip because it normally costs a bit more than other candies and yet they don’t have that many nerds attached to the rope. I’d rather stick with the original nerd boxes!

  3. Cool! You guys posting rock too! Hey have you tried the dual coated lemonade nerds? I think it was cherry lemonade or something. I can’t believe I spent $3.50 for a box, but oh so yummy!
